$1 million Powerball ticket sold in New Jersey as jackpot climbs to $1.9 billion

TRENTON, NJ (WPVI) — The Powerball jackpot continues to climb, breaking records after Saturday night’s drawing had no winners.

The top prize is now $1.9 billion with a $929.1 million cash option for the next drawing on Monday November 7th.

The Powerball jackpot was rolled after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Saturday night – white balls 28, 45, 53, 56, 69 and red Powerball 20. The powerplay multiplier was 3X.

One lucky player in New Jersey matched five of the five white balls drawn to win a $1,000,000 second-tier prize.

This ticket was sold at Quick Stop, 940 Inman Avenue, Edison, Middlesex County.

Monday’s drawing will be the 41st Powerball drawing since the jackpot was last won in Pennsylvania on Aug. 3. The Jackpot Run has set the gaming record for the number of consecutive draws without a grand prize winner. The only other Powerball jackpot run to reach 41 consecutive draws ended on October 4, 2021 with a $699.8 million winner in California.

The new jackpot surpasses the previous record prize of $1.586 billion won by three Powerball players in California, Florida and Tennessee in 2016.
