1 teen dead, 15-year-old injured in separate Philadelphia shootings

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A teenager was killed and another injured in two shootings in Philadelphia Thursday night.
Police say a 17-year-old man was shot and killed around 8:30 p.m. near 23rd Street and Titan Street in the Point Breeze neighborhood.
The teenager was shot multiple times in the chest and torso, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
About 20 spent cartridge cases were found at the scene. Small says the teenager was shot not far from his home.
Police are looking for two male gunmen who were last seen driving south on 23rd Street in a gray sedan.
A suspect is said to have been wearing a light-colored sweatshirt. The second suspect was seen wearing all dark clothing.
In a separate unrelated shooting, police said a 15-year-old boy was shot once in the shoulder and grazed by another bullet around 6 p.m. in North Philadelphia.
Gunfire erupted on 27th Street and Ridge Avenue.
He was taken to Temple University Hospital and placed in stable condition.
No arrests were made.
