Police say a 17-year-old man was shot and killed around 8:30 p.m. near 23rd Street and Titan Street in the Point Breeze neighborhood.

The teenager was shot multiple times in the chest and torso, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

About 20 spent cartridge cases were found at the scene. Small says the teenager was shot not far from his home.
