10 people hurt in mass shooting in Florida: Police

Two victims of the shooting suffered life-threatening injuries.

LAKELAND, FL– Ten people were injured in a mass shooting in a Florida city, the Lakeland Police Department said on Monday.
According to the police, two victims are critically injured and eight are critically injured.
“One is undergoing surgery and the other is either undergoing surgery or is on the way to surgery,” Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor said at a news conference Monday.
Police responded to calls about a shooting at a location near Iowa Avenue North and Plum Street at 3:43 p.m
According to Taylor, all of the victims were adult males between the ages of 20 and 35.
Lakeland Police did not identify any suspects but believe four suspected gunmen fired guns from their vehicle, which Taylor described as a four-door Nissan, on either side of the road.
Police believe the shooting was not accidental and the victims were targeted.
