For celebrities who sign up to take part in a film or television show, the contract that is presented to them can decide their decision to take on a role. And during contract negotiations, some stars and studios end up inserting rather unusual demands into the contract. From mandatory golf lessons to bespoke wigs, these contract clauses contained some very interesting requests.

4. Uma Thurman
In 2008, Uma Thurman was set to star in Eloise in Paris, but the film was never made. Instead of this, The production company was sued for “failing to honor an agreement” to pay the company that was supposed to pay Uma $4.5 million. During the legal battle, Uma’s contract was published online, which contained several interesting claims.

Danny Trejo has a special requirement in his contract whenever he plays the villain on screen. The actor once confirmed that every time he plays a criminal in a film or series, he demands that his character be killed so that viewers learn that bad deeds and criminal activity don’t pay.
7. Rebel Wilson
While Rebel Wilson was working on the Pitch Perfect movies, her contract said she couldn’t lose weight. Though she wanted to get healthy, she said she couldn’t lose more than 10 pounds before filming wrapped up.
“I couldn’t lose a lot of weight because I was in the contracts for this movie,” Rebel said on the show.call her dad“Podcast. “You can’t lose, I think, it’s no more than 10 pounds, or gain more than 10 pounds. You have to somehow stick to the weight that’s in your contract.”

Before Bradley Cooper starred in Silver Linings Playbook, Mark Wahlberg was set to play alongside Anne Hathaway. Although it didn’t work out, Mark’s contract allegedly stated that he would be entitled to $900,000 if Anne got out of the film. The move was reportedly intended to protect the actor from a hit at the box office should Anne be replaced by a lesser-known actress. In the end, director David O. Russell, one of Mark’s close friends, cast Bradley because his salary requirements were lower.
“They chose Brad Cooper because they felt he was hungrier and would work cheaper,” said David’s collaborator Matt Muzio TheWrap.
For Julianna Margulies’ role in The Good Wife, her contract stipulated that she would wear a wig every time she appeared on screen. Julianna’s decision allegedly was born out of her desire to look completely different from her “ER” character, sister Carol Hathaway. The wig ended up being custom made in London at a high cost and flown to Vancouver where the first episode was filmed.

It also said she would be given a choice of three dresses for each promotional appearance – and get to keep the dress she wore.
