BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A 19-year-old man was shot in the chest at Sweet Peaz Southern Kitchen on S. Charles Street Friday afternoon, police and City Councilman Eric Costello said.
According to preliminary investigation, a 19-year-old man present inside the restaurant argued with another male suspect. Police said the suspect walked out of the restaurant, returned a short time later with a gun and shot the victim before fleeing.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital and is currently in a serious condition.
Employees responded to the restaurant in the 1000 block of S. Charles Street at around 4 p.m.
Costello, whose county includes Federal Hill, said, “I spoke at the scene with the Captain of the Southern District — the victim and the shooter knew each other.”

The suspect is still big.
“It’s frustrating, you know, like, when is enough? And this is scary because it’s right where I live and I walk on these sidewalks all the time,” one Federal Hill resident told WJZ.
