2 firefighters injured while battling house fire in New Castle County, Delaware

All residents of the house were able to get to safety, but two firefighters were injured.

PIKE CREEK, Delaware (WPVI) — Two firefighters were rushed to a local hospital after being injured while fighting a two-alarm house fire in New Castle County, Delaware.

According to officials, the fire started around 9:45 p.m. in Block 100 of Belmont Drive in Pike Creek.

When emergency services arrived, smoke was pouring from a two-story house.

All residents of the house were able to get to safety, but two firefighters were injured.

Her condition was not provided.
