2 men killed in crash on McCall Street

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two men were killed in an early Sunday morning crash in South Nashville.

Preliminary investigation results show that a GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling at high speed in the west lane of McCall Street when it collided with a Nissan Sentra that was backing out of the driveway. According to Metro police, the GMC pickup truck went off the roadway and crashed into a power pole, killing the 27-year-old driver and 26-year-old male passenger.

Officials said the 18-year-old Nissan driver and her 16-year-old passenger were both taken to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Efforts are being made to notify the victim’s family in Mexico. Metro police said no signs of damage were found at the scene.

No other information was immediately released.
