2022 is my main character year. That’s what I said! I wear clothes every day — or at least, a great pair of boots. We all know footwear can elevate even the simplest of outfits, which is why I keep an eye on the hottest sneaker trends of 2022. And luckily, there are quite a few. Something for you to choose from!
First on the list is a trend for my girls who love a heeled moment but haven’t worn it yet. really heel since before the pandemic. There are many types of high heels, but it’s up to you to go with sky high heels or sweet slim heels. My personal favorite? A lightly pointed dress with a flared sole.
Next up is a more laid-back look called The Slouch. Slippery boots are great waaay back, but they’re definitely getting the revival they deserve this season. My advice? Stay away from suede to avoid looking dated, and opt for patent or shiny printed leather instead for a fresh feel. That said, a chocolate brown suede jacket still gives me butterflies. Call me old-fashioned!
Followed by a personal favorite to run around, launch combat. Remember when we had the same pair in high school? Now, they’re definitely a bit cluttered and a bit cooler, perfect for pairing with super girl looks for a pleasing contrast.
Last but not least, this is a little obvious: Knee boots are officially replacing your over-the-knee favorites. Apologies in advance if you ~invested~ in a pair of Stuart Weitzman! You can totally still wear them, but consider adding at least one knee-high pair in fun colors to your wardrobe.
Below, read on for a little more information on each trend, along with some of our favorites to start shopping now.

The lug sole gave last year’s shoes an edgy feel, but by 2022, we’re returning to classic combat. Of course there’s something new! This time, pair your fitted suits with girly tops for contrast instead of tucking them into tight jeans like you did in high school. Crouch.

High heels have pointed heels, so say goodbye to your rough heels. I know it’s hard to go on, but we have to! That said, if you don’t like sky-high heels, a shorter stiletto heel looks equally chic for everyday wear. Bonus points if you wear a pair of flared heels for a little extra excitement!

Remember the knee length boots? LOL, me too. Knee-high is everything at the moment, so don’t be afraid to put some lotion on those kneecaps before revealing them to the world! Since the silhouette of a classic knee-high boot is quite subdued, feel free to go bold with color, texture, or any other accent detail. Or, you know, your inner cowboy channel.
