3 Arsenal players who need to improve in 2023 – Our View

As 2022 draws to a close, we’ve featured the 3 Arsenal players who need to improve in 2023.
Which 3 Arsenal players need to improve in 2023?
1. Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes needs to put his mistakes behind him in 2022
For a defender of his caliber, Gabriel Magalhaes has been unusually prone to errors this season.
Especially in the first few months, it seemed like the Brazilian was constantly making one or two mistakes.
Rush challenges, poor positioning, questionable decision making; You name it, and the former Lille centre-back was to blame in some way, shape or form.
In recent weeks, however, Gabriel’s displays have seen an undeniable resurgence.
The 25-year-old will need to maintain that form and how reliable he was the previous season to ensure Arsenal fight to the death in the Premier League title race in 2023.
2. The only quality Arsenal talisman Gabriel Jesus needs to improve on is his degree
First things first, Gabriel Jesus is having an excellent season and has been one of the Gunners’ best players since arriving in the summer.
The former Manchester City striker’s brilliant all-round play makes him such a huge asset to Arsenal as he is on a different level to both Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazatte in that regard.
But if there’s one aspect of his game that the decorated striker can improve on, it’s his finish.
Against the likes of Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Chelsea, Jesus has loosened up his lines.
For a forward considered one of the best in the league, his lethality in front of goal is questionable.
In any title race, be it this season or in the future, the squandering of Gabriel Jesus (via Football.London) could close the title race in the side not named Arsenal’s favor in 2023.
While Mikel Arteta once defended the 25-year-old’s stunning finish due to his creativity, one day when he’s not at his best that could really put the Gunners off.
3. Eddie Nketiah needs to set new standards for Arsenal in 2023
In Eddie Nketiah’s case, it’s about improving in the sense of becoming a forward who can lead the line for a potentially title-winning team.
While the Hale End graduate scored a number of important goals at the end of last season, replacing the injured Gabriel Jesus is a whole different ballgame.
For starters, the crowd Jesus brings to stitch this forward line together is a trait the ex-Chelsea academy product must attempt to replicate in some way, shape or form.
And of course Nketiah has to find the back of the net on a regular basis too as he’s expected to lead Arsenal’s title attack, a circumstance he has never played under.
While Eddie Nketiah remains a talented goalscorer, that may not be enough if he doesn’t step up his game for Arsenal in 2023.
In other news, Rangers want a £2million star who Warburton said has an “outstanding work ethic”.
