3 dead in shooting at lounge in Kansas City, Missouri

Two other people were injured in the early morning shooting, the Kansas City Police Department said.

Three people were shot dead early Sunday at the Klymax Lounge in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.

Officers who arrived at the scene just before 1:30 a.m. local time found five people who had been hit by gunfire, Kansas City Police Department officials said in a statement.

“Three of the victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance,” the statement said. “Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. One of those victims was outside the lounge and the second was inside the store.”

One of the people who had been taken to the hospital later died, officials said.
