3 injured after truck crashes into stalled car on New Jersey Turnpike in Mount Laurel, Burlington County

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ (WPVI) — A truck ran into a stalled vehicle on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike, leaving three people injured.

It happened around midnight Friday near the James Cooper Travel Plaza in Mount Laurel, Burlington County.

State police say the three people were standing outside the car when the accident happened.

Police say the truck struck the stuck vehicle, throwing it at the victims.

Two of the victims were flown from the scene to local hospitals by helicopter. The third victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

All lanes on either side of the turnpike have been closed but have since reopened.

The conditions of the victims were not made public.
