We’re only a few months away from Halloween, and that means now is as good a time as ever to catch some horror movies. Are you looking for a scary movie to watch tonight? Best Horror Movies on Netflix: Annihilation (2018)

destruction based on Jeff Vandermeer’s surreal series called The Southern Reach Trilogy consisting of three novels. The film focuses on the first of the three. Book fans have mixed feelings about the 2018 film as it makes some significant changes from the text.
I love the books and the film. I don’t think the changes detract from the story, and I appreciate that this changes the film a little bit from the novel to offer something new for those of us who already knew it. Annihilation follows a group of women who travel to a mysterious area called “The Shimmer” or Area X, a quarantine zone full of mutated plants and animals caused by an alien presence.
The group includes a biologist, a psychologist, a medic, a physicist and a geomorphologist. Your goal is to travel to the zone and find out exactly what it is. Lena, the biologist played by Natalie Portman, has a personal reason for being in Area
But he comes back in bad shape, sick and unable to reveal what happened there as his condition slowly worsens. I definitely recommend watching this movie on Netflix and maybe picking up the books afterwards!
