After three seasons in the role, Henry Cavill has officially left the series, as his final episodes dropped with the release of the second part of the third season. Enter Liam Hemsworth.

The hunger Games The actor will take on the role in the show’s upcoming fourth season, replacing Cavill in the title role in one of the most eye-catching recasts in recent years. While there’s no doubt that Hemsworth will bring his own unique touch to the character, and we’re keeping an open mind about his casting, that doesn’t mean we don’t have a few ideas as to who might have been better suited to the role .

1. Theo James

Okay, we know Theo James is no stranger The Witcher franchise, in which he had already voiced the young Vesemir in a one-off episode in Season 1, and he even voiced Vesemir in the animated film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, but that would have actually made him a perfect choice to replace Cavill.

Since we didn’t see James on screen in any capacity, he could have easily slipped into the role. James is already familiar with the franchise and knows the lore. He could come into the role with knowledge that could help him do Geralt justice and has already proven to be an amazing addition to the franchise.

Anyone who has followed his career knows that James is an incredible artist and brings unparalleled depth to his performances. He would have absolutely made the role of Geralt his own and made the character proud by picking up where Cavill left off.

2. Sebastian Stan

He’s a fun fact, Sebastian Stan almost joined The Witcher Back in 2018, before the first season of the series debuted on Netflix. according to rumours, Stan auditioned for the show, with many speculating that he chose the role of Geralt’s brother Eskel – a role that ultimately went to Basil Eidenbenz. Geralt may not have been on Stan’s radar at the time, but we have to admit that he would have been the perfect choice to take on the role of Cavill.

We’ve seen that Stan has the ability to completely immerse himself in a character and convey the complex emotions needed to capture Geralt’s essence. We also know that he has the physical fitness necessary to take on such a physically demanding challenge and that he would have no problem stepping into the shoes of this character.

It should also be said that Stan has a sizable fan base, which may have helped attract Marvel fans to the show and give them a reason to watch the show.

3. Chris Hemsworth

Let’s all be honest, if someone had told us two years ago that a Hemsworth would be taking on the role of Geralt The Witcher Our minds probably would have gone straight to Chris Hemsworth… and for good reason. While both Chris and Liam are great actors, there’s no denying that between the two, Chris is often the Hemsworth who holds the biggest place in fans’ hearts.

Chris has a long history with Netflix and has already appeared in two series extraction films and we know he can carry a franchise on his back. If the extraction Movies weren’t proof enough, just look at his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Chris has a magnetic energy that would make him the perfect choice for the role of Geralt, and yes, if there’s anyone who can match Superman’s imposing physique, it’s the man who played Thor.

4. Nobody

Let’s be clear: Henry Cavill was perfectly cast in the role of Geralt. During his three seasons on the show, he was an absolute star in the title role and has drawn many to the series over the years.

Not only does Cavill embody the character perfectly visually and spiritually, but he is also a huge fan of the source material and is incredibly protective of the character. From day one, he has insisted on honoring the legacy of the book and the character that so many fans love so much.

He gave his all to the role and it’s a real shame he doesn’t have the time The Witcher comes to an end.
