5 Tips for TikTok Live Viewers

TikTok, like many other social media apps, has live streaming capabilities. While not all users can go live on their own, anyone can watch live events.

Here are some tips to get the best out of your TikTok Live viewing experience.

What is TikTok Live?

TikTok Live is a live streaming feature in TikTok. You must be 16 years or older and have at least 1,000 followers to start TikTok Live. However, anyone can watch TikTok lives and there are live-streaming creators from every niche. You can watch everything from making silicone cups, to swimming time at the doggy daycare.

While watching TikTok Live, you can send creator likes, comments, monetary gifts, and even view the creator’s profile without leaving the Live video. Here are some tips to give you the best viewing experience possible…

1. Interacting with the Creator

TikTok Lives is a great way to interact with your favorite creators in a more personal way.

One way to show your appreciation to your favorite creators on TikTok is to submit likes on their TikTok Live. You can send unlimited likes by double tapping the screen. Creators are ranked weekly by the number of likes they receive in their Lifecycle, so sending likes can really help creators grow.

You can also ask questions of the creators as comments during the live stream. Comments appear live to anyone joining the stream as well as the creator, allowing creators to openly discuss with their viewers. You can also submit questions using the Q&A feature that appears next to the comment bar.

2. Give Gifts to TikTok Live Host

Another way you can show your admiration for your favorite creators is in the form of gifts. TikTok allows users to buy coins, which you can then use to send gifts with coins in streams. Creators are notified when a gift is delivered to them, which means they’ll often thank the giver in real time.

TikTok also ranks viewers when they join Lives. You can increase your ranking by sending gifts to the creator and to watch Life in the long run. You can check these rankings by tapping the viewer icon in the upper right corner. These charts are public by default, but if you don’t want your name to appear public, you can change the privacy options in your TikTok settings.

3. Check out the creator’s profile page

TikTok allows you to interact with a creator’s profile page when you watch their Live video. You can do this by tapping on their profile picture. When you navigate to the profile page, the audio from the live stream will continue to play in the background.

If you choose to watch a TikTok video from their profile page, the Live audio will pause for the duration of the video, but you can easily navigate back to Live once you’ve finished watching the TikTok video.

Sometimes, the large amount of likes and comments sent during a TikTok live stream can become overwhelming. If you want to get rid of all the little hearts and scrolling comments, you can swipe right on the screen.

This will take you to a screen with no comments and likes, so you can just focus on the live stream.

5. Share your life on TikTok with your friends

If you really like TikTok Live, you can quickly and easily share it with your friends without leaving Live. Since comments appear in real time, you can even chat with your friends in the comments section as they join.

Why should you watch TikTok Lives?

TikTok Lives is a great way to engage with creators on a more intimate level. Unlike regular TikTok videos, you can watch the creator interact with each comment in real time, making for a more chat experience.

TikTok Lives is a great place for discussion and community building.
