When it comes to finding that perfect Airbnb, it’s all about location. Whether your ideal vacation is in the middle of nowhere or in the middle of a bustling city and close to landmarks, there’s bound to be an Airbnb that’s right for you. To help refine your decision, we recommend using Google Maps.
With Google Maps, you can see what shops are nearby, how close you are to popular tourist attractions, explore pictures of the surrounding area, plan a route, and more. We’ll guide you. How to use Google Maps to plan your Airbnb rental.

Google recommends the best route, but you can use the icons at the top to switch between different modes of transportation like cars, trains, and buses. Google Maps is linked to the public transport network, so it will show you exactly what to go and when.
While your Airbnb seems to be in the perfect location, it’s probably not served by good public transport links or maybe a toll route (which Google Maps warns you about). Google Maps also shows you nearby gas stations, if you need to refuel.
2. Scout’s shops and restaurants nearby
While your Airbnb may come with a welcome bar, you’ll likely need to buy groceries, snacks, neglected personal care items, etc. That’s why you should Choose an Airbnb that has enough stores nearby.

Entertainment means different things to different people. With ease, Google Maps has you covered whether your idea of fun is strolling historical landmarks, strolling through the parks, going to the theater or listening to live music.
Go to your Airbnb area and search for the type of entertainment you’re looking for, like Places, Theatreor garden. Google Maps marks them all on the map, and you can use the left pane to scroll through the selections.

5. Find cheaper or better accommodation
How committed are you to booking through Airbnb? While most Airbnb bookings go smoothly, there are some Airbnb horror stories about fraud, abuse, and disruption. Or perhaps you just can’t find your ideal Airbnb hotel in the area you want to stay in. In that case, consider renting a hotel or vacation with another provider.
Google Maps can help you with this. Go to the area you want to stay in and search Many hotels. This displays all the hotels in the area, represented on the map by their prices. Use the filters in the left pane to select the date of stay, number of occupants, and price range.
At the top of the screen, apply other filters like guest ratings, brand, amenities, free cancellation and more. If hotels aren’t your vibe, move on to Vacation rental. Prices for both hotels and rentals are compared with multiple providers, so you can get the cheapest deal.
