Celebrities are known to go to extreme lengths to transform their looks, whether it’s for a specific role or just to get ready for the red carpet. And when it comes to their diet, the rich and famous seem to have tried everything they can to look and feel their best. While some stars simply opt for balanced meals, others have gotten a little more unconventional and have tried diets like the carnivore diet and the cookie diet – and even a diet consisting only of salmon and capers!
While these eating habits can work for celebs, it’s important to note that it’s not for everyone and shouldn’t be repeated without the help of a doctor or nutritionist!

Gwyneth Paltrow recently came under fire her bare-bones spa routine, which many people considered unhealthy. During an appearance atThe art of being goodOn the podcast, Gwyneth shared her daily meal and fitness schedule, explaining that her diet includes fasting until noon, bone broth for lunch, and vegetables for dinner. Although her eating habits aren’t for everyone, Gwyneth says she’s under the supervision of a doctor and eats in such a specific way to treat her long-lasting COVID, which causes high levels of inflammation.
“This is based on my medical findings and extensive testing I’ve done over time,” she said explained. “This was a transparent look at a conversation between me and my doctors that was not intended as advice to anyone else. It’s really just what worked for me. It was very powerful and very positive…By the way, I eat a lot more than bone broth and vegetables. I eat full meals, and I also have a lot of days when I can eat whatever I want and fries and whatever. But my baseline really was to try to be healthy and eat foods that really calm the system down.”

Similar to his ex, Chris Martin also follows an unconventional diet plan. Although he has long had a strict meal plan, he said he was influenced by Bruce Springsteen to stop eating dinner altogether. Now Chris stops eating at 4pm and doesn’t eat until the next morning.
“Actually, I don’t eat dinner anymore. Victoria Beckham has always been on a very strict diet, and it turns out she’s been eating the same thing every day for years. According to her husband David Beckham, she has only eaten fish and vegetables since they met decades ago.
“I get pretty emotional about food and wine. In early 2022, Heidi Montag tried a carnivore diet in hopes of improving her fertility. As part of her diet, she only ate raw meat — and even filmed herself eating raw liver and bull testicles. Though eating raw meat can be harmful, Heidi said she’s seen an increase in her “energy, clarity, increased libido, and an overall improvement in chronic pain” that she’s been dealing with.
“If you think about where most of the nutrients that are bioavailable to humans without toxins are, organs are very nutritious parts of animals,” she said People. “Culturally, organs are a critical part. Eating raw liver will preserve as many nutrients as possible.”

Chris Pratt says he once tried the Daniel Diet, a fast inspired by the Bible’s Daniel, who in the Old Testament ate only vegetables and water for 21 days. Over the course of 21 days, Chris ate only fruits, vegetables, and unleavened bread while focusing heavily on prayer to deepen his relationship with God.

In 2016, Mariah Carey shared that she was on a strict diet where she basically ate a ton of fish. She explained that she mostly “sticks to the proteins” when it comes to her meals, but she didn’t enjoy it much.
“It’s really hard. My diet – you would hate it. All you eat everyday is Norwegian salmon and capers, that’s it,” Mariah said E! News. “I’m really serious… It’s the worst.”
Back in 2010, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi tried the cookie diet, which was developed in the 1970s by Dr. Sanford Siegal was developed. The diet involves consuming several 90-calorie cookies daily, which a “Secret Amino Acid Protein Blend” and then eat a regular dinner. She ended up losing at least five pounds.
