90 Day Fiancé: The casting director shares secrets

Brooklyn Bagwell is a senior casting director at Sharp Entertainment and she was happy to share some new information about the franchise and she gave fans some new ideas. She pointed out that she has a lot of experience with lawyers on the show. These lawyers helped her better understand how immigration works and how to put it on the show.

She’s been diving a lot on social media and doing a lot of cold calling to get all the right immigration information to keep the 90 Day Fiancé franchise afloat. A lot of legal matters go into the show and she’s the one who has to take care of everything.

Bagwell also opened up about how she chooses the new cast members. She said: “We want to find a foreigner who has never been to America before. It’s a red flag if they’ve been to America because we want to focus on those firsts. Then we also look at how much physical time the couple has spent together since they met. I think the shorter time span is better because it means all the first ones are reinforced in the 90 days.” She also mentioned that she wants to find performers who are compelling.

She also pointed out that they are looking for a very diverse cast. “A transgender story tops the list. We would like to find a deaf couple or a blind couple; We would like to find a teenager or an extremely visual couple, like two very tall people, or an octogenarian dating an octogenarian. She then added, “I feel like this show has the potential to go on for 10+ seasons.”

Fans are really excited to see that Bagwell mentioned that she’s looking for more heterogeneous couples. We’ll continue to keep an eye on what’s next for the show.
