Here’s a look at this week’s top high school football games:

Friday

Downey Warren (2-0) at Gardena Serra (1-2), 7 p.m. — Serra knows exactly what Warren is up to — passing the football behind quarterback Nico Iamaleava. But containing the Tennessee-traveling Iamaleava isn’t easy, and he can take off and run, too. Serra has one of the best groups of defenders around and has an effective rushing attack. The choice: Serra.

San Clemente (3-0) vs. Corona del Mar (3-0) in Newport Harbor, 7 p.m. – This Orange County public school battle will help determine which deserves to be considered a contender for the Division 2 title. Blake Allen successfully passed the ball for San Clemente. Corona del Mar combined strong defense with solid quarterback play from David Rasor, who completed 76% of his passes. The choice: Corona del Mar.
