A New Dungeons & Dragons Movie Clip Works the Graveyard Shift

With every single video this is coming out for this movie I’m becoming more and more convinced of that dungeons: Honor among thieves is just an amalgamation of the the most common pitfalls In any case D&D Campaign. Is it just as fun watching it on screen as playing it with friends? That stays to be seen. But now have fun with Chris Pine’s Bard makes a fool of himself in a cemetery.

The fact remains that they are in what looks like a set piece of Sam Raimi’s graveyard army of darkness, talk shit with an animated corpse in what might be the biggest fanservice interaction we’ve seen from the film to date. This could actually break the “no meta” rule which the directors said wouldn’t happen, but I won’t blame them. After all, rules are arbitrary.

Am I convinced this movie will be funny? No. Am I confident this film will be a ride and a half as it tries Navigate the pitfalls of trying to narratively explain all of the arbitrary rules of D&D to mass audiences? Yes. There is one big difference between creating boundaries in a combat simulator and seeing them play on the screen, but I’m sure it absolutely will be Trip watching the movie try to explain magic slots.
