Abbi Jacobson criticizes a very own cancellation

“To attribute this cancellation to the strike,” says the star, “is bullshit and cowardice.”
Abbi Jacobson speaks openly about the cancellation of her series, A league of its ownand how “cowardly” it is to blame it Hollywood strike.
It was announced earlier this week The A league of its own Amazon’s remake of the hit 1992 film was canceled after being renewed for a second and final season.
Jacobson, who stars as Carson Shaw on the series and also serves as a co-creator, shared her thoughts on the cancellation on Instagram.
“How lucky I was to be able to tell these stories and play this character that I love so much,” Jacobson wrote on Instagram. “What a rare thing in life. And that’s why I’m sad today.”
“Attributing this cancellation to the strike (which is an essential struggle for fair wages, protections and working conditions, etc.) is bullshit and cowardly,” he added broad city Star.

A league of its own first premiered on Amazon Prime in 2022 and quickly became a fan favorite. It was announced that the show was canceled despite having previously been renewed for a second season along with the sci-fi thriller The Periphery.
