AC Milan make new €20m+ bid for Christian Pulisic – sources

AC Milan have made a new offer worth over €20m ($21.8m) for Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, sources have told ESPN.

ESPN reported last week that Pulisic had agreed in principle on personal terms with Milan that could offer the US star a chance to play in the Champions League next season.

Sources told ESPN that Milan are confident of reaching an agreement with Chelsea on the transfer fee, with the Italian club reckoning the savings Chelsea would make on Pulisic’s salary – around €15m a year – would be enough to secure a deal get over the line with his latest offering.

Ligue 1 club Lyon have also expressed an interest in Pulisic, sources tell ESPN. However, the forward is expected to turn down the chance of moving there as he believes it is the wrong move for his career.

Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 for €64m and made 145 appearances in four seasons for the club.
