Adele reveals she suffers from a painful skin condition as she returns to Las Vegas shows
ADELE has revealed her performance on stage has caused a painful skin condition.
The superstar opened up about how she sweated so profusely in her figure-shaping Spanx underwear that she got acne around her waist.

The Londoner admitted she suffered from “jock itch,” a skin infection in the groin that affects the upper thighs, buttocks and lower abdomen
Adele, who has had vocal cord surgery in the past, also revealed she was worried her voice had been damaged on a wild girls’ trip to the Dominican Republic, where she sang karaoke for four hours.
During her return to her residence at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas on Friday night, Adele said on stage: “You know what my doctor gave me? It’s a bit gross, but I never knew it existed.”
“Me and my team talked about this earlier. Of course I wear spanx to my shows so everything stays in and everything fits me.”
“And I’m sweating a lot and it’s not going anywhere. So I’m basically just sitting in my own sweat. And my doctor prescribed me Jock Itch.” [cream].”
She made a joke about Denver Nuggets star player Nikola Jokić, who is pronounced the same way, adding, “Sounds like I’m a huge Nuggets fan, doesn’t it? Jock Itch, that’s what it’s called, isn’t it?”
The disease often affects athletes who sweat a lot.
Adele added: “So it looks like I’m an athlete so I have to inject it myself. I don’t know why the hell I just told you that.”
The Los Angeles-based star added, “Speaking of body acne, I’ve gotten back into weightlifting like it’s nobody’s business. And I absolutely love it.”
Adele was speaking on the Coliseum stage at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip after a three-month hiatus.
She spoke of her nervousness about returning after completing the first leg of her run in March.
“I was humming all week and at that moment I was right there (behind the curtain) fucking myself,” she told fans.
“We’ve had a very long break and I’m thrilled to be back. I was bored to death.”
“Somehow I missed you. It’s a nice change. I really love doing these shows and it’s the highlight of my week. I really wanted to go back. It’s a whole new meaning.”
Adele also revealed that she had a “beautiful vacation” and trip to Miami with “two of my best friends”.
“I tried sneaking into a gay club and thought I could get away with it, but everyone knew.
“It was my first time in the Dominican Republic. I come back every year. I loved it.”
“It’s probably my favorite vacation. It was pure relaxation. One night I did karaoke for almost four hours. I was a bit scared. I was hoarse. After that I didn’t speak a word for two days.”
“Another time I’ve been up all night, which I’m too old for now. I went to bed at 9am. And I can’t do that anymore. It’s fun to go to a big party. But never again.” I like to be in bed between 9 and 9 p.m. and not in the morning.
Adele also had a break in Palm Springs, California during her 10-week break.
Adele kept sipping honey water throughout the show and admitted all the talking made her voice dry.
Adele wore a rainbow skirt to celebrate Pride month, which she described as “a pop of color that we’re celebrating Pride with tonight”. She jokingly added, “Enjoy this color because I’m never wearing color again.”
Adele had film cameras in the arena recording the tracks for her planned TV and film release special.
Adele reflected on her first album 19: She couldn’t afford to get her nails done, which contributed to the fact that she played guitar so much for the tunes.
“Now I get my nails done all the time, so I don’t play acoustic guitar. By the end of my first album I was able to get my fake nails put on. That’s why I wasn’t actually playing guitar on the 21st.”
“I think nails are better than acoustic guitar.”
She added that she was upset at not seeing Beyoncé perform at White Hart Lane.
“Can you believe she had shows in my hometown of Tottenham and I couldn’t go?”
“‘We’ll see her in LA. But there’s something about her playing at Tottenham, where I was born and raised.”
“Beyonce is obviously not here.”
It comes after The Sun revealed Adele is at the center of the row between Alan Carr and his ex-husband Paul Drayton following their ‘ugly’ divorce which saw them ‘split up their celebrity friends’.
