AEW Fight Forever is on track for a 2022 release, but that could change.

In terms of game modes, not much is known at the moment. While a “Create a Wrestler” mode has been confirmed, we have yet to hear about game modes like General Manager, multiplayer or a ranking system.

However, according to Fightful Select, a story/career mode is said to be in the works. This storyline is said to feature contributions from multiple wrestlers and may already feature unique music made by none other than AEW’s Mikey Rukus.

AEW Fight Forever: Match Types

Official game types that will be included in the AEW console game have not yet been announced, although Kenny Omega has said: “We have many match types,” without going into specifics.

Below are the confirmed match types we’ll see in AEW Fight Forever, although we’re expecting many more:

  • single game
  • Intergender Singles Match

AEW Fight Forever: Roster

We anticipate many more to be added over time. AEW has a roster of over 100 wrestlers, with the possibility of even more when we factor in their ownership of former rival Ring of Honor (ROH).

This could also lead to ROH wrestlers appearing in AEW Fight Forever as several have previously appeared on AEW’s TV shows. A handful of AEW roster members now own ROH titles as well, so this will likely be reflected in content like roster updates and DLC going forward.

Kris Statlander was introduced as a squad member in May 2022.

However, the developers have said that the game will feature 50 wrestlers at launch.

This means the game will likely initially only feature cast members who appear on the main roster (AEW Dynamite and Rampage), although more could be added in DLC expansions. AEW Fight Forever: Roster, match types, platforms & everything we know
