Camilla is said to have met Kevin at a party in Knightsbridge in 1965.

Mr Burke sadly passed away earlier this month, as his family was asking for donations to the British Heart Foundation.

His funeral will take place in September.

The pair met during the Queen’s golden days as a fun-to-be-debut girl in the high society of the hectic sixties.

And although their affair was short-lived, Mr. Burke still spoke fondly of his former lover.

He previously reminisced about their time together in Jessica Jayne’s biography: Duchess of Cornwall, her story and secrets.

Kevin revealed: ‘”Every night we have two or three cocktail parties to attend and dance and a few dances to choose from on weekends in the countryside.”

“It was the greatest joy and I got the most amazing and exciting partner you could ever wish for. Camilla is incredibly popular.”

Indeed, the Queen is now so popular that it wasn’t long before she left Kevin and broke his heart.

He said: “I was with Camilla all that year. I assumed we were in love and then she left me. Why?

“Oh, the short answer is she’s at the ball in London.”

Camilla then married her first husband, former Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973 and had two children, Tom and Laura.

Becoming a chartered accountant, Kevin finally settled into life at the age of 42.

His first marriage to advertising executive Peta Baker lasted 14 years and ended in 2001.

He later married former head hunter Luisa Fairey, with whom he became a father for the first time at the age of 58.

Kevin is survived by his “beloved” son Max.
