Ahsoka: Star Wars fans are delighted at the unexpected appearance of David Tennant

David Tennant has pleasantly surprised Star Wars fans with his revenge Star Wars: Clone Wars character in Disney’s latest live-action spin-off, Ahsoka.
The new The first two episodes of the series, in which former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano investigates an emerging threat to an endangered galaxy, were released on Tuesday (August 22).
Below AhsokaWhen the series debuted, scores of viewers were shocked to discover that Tennant was in fact the “cheeky” voice behind Huyang, the Mark IV architect droid professor who spent thousands of years aboard the Crucible teaching young Jedi youth how to build lightsabers.
“David Tennant in war of stars?! Why didn’t anyone tell me this?!” wrote one person on X/Twitter.

“People I’ve been watching Ahsoka “With my brother and I we thought the droid sounded like David Tennant so I looked it up,” wrote a third party, alongside a screenshot of a Google search that Tennant confirmed as Huyang.
“I still think it’s as funny as David Tennant was clone wars (and now in Ahsoka) and I never knew that,” added another.
The 52-year-old Scottish actor made his Star Wars debut in the animated series clone wars, which first aired on Cartoon Network before moving to Netflix and eventually Disney+.
Although Tennant only impersonated Huyang in two episodes of the seven-season series, which aired from 2008-2020, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in an Animated Program in 2013.

Rosario Dawson also returns in the title role of Ahsoka, from which she originally emerged The Mandalorian.
The first episode of the series was a tribute to the late Northern Irish actor Ray Stevenson.
Stevenson, who played villain Baylan Skoll on the series, died in May at the age of 58. A cause of death is not yet known.
At the end of the first episode of Ahsoka, the words “For our friend Ray” appeared.
