Airport security horrified after shock discovery in passenger’s backpack

AIRPORT security personnel were shocked when they scanned a passenger’s backpack and discovered a live animal was hiding inside.

The bag was scanned at Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin, and airport employees were not expecting what appeared on their screens at security desks.

The outline of a dog curled up inside the bag was clearly visible as the bag passed through, with the passenger failing to remove the pet before arriving.

The American Transport Security Administration shared pictures of the bag on Instagram and explained what passengers must do when flying with animals.

They said: “If you are traveling with an animal, notify your airline and know their rules.

“At the checkpoint, take your pet out of the bag and send all items, including the empty pet carrier, onto the machine for inspection.”

Some people were shocked by what they saw and felt sorry for the pup.

One wrote: “What’s wrong with these people?”

A second said: “Poor pup. What are people thinking?! Love your pet enough to take them on vacation, but think it’s acceptable to transport them this way?

The dog isn’t the only animal recently scanned at security, a cat was also found in the X-ray machine.

The orange cat was spotted at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport earlier this week after an agent spotted some orange hair sticking out of the suitcase’s zipper.

The picture split up TwitterIt showed reddish tufts of fur sticking out of the black suitcase between the gaps in the orange zipper.

They joked on social media, “We’re letting the cat out of the bag on a historic find.”

Elsewhere, traveler Haley Koehn took a pet fish on a plane so she could take it with her on vacation in Florida.

In a video shared on her Tiktok account (@haleykoehn9), Haley revealed how she got her little yellow betta fish Pluto through airport security and onto her flight.

She explained how she managed to get the creature on board the plane with relatively little fuss.

In the comments, she was asked if she needed to inform the airline before flying with her pet.

She replied, “No, I just went there, they tested his water and then let us through.”

Meanwhile, on a recent flight, passengers were surprised when an animal broke free and started pacing the aisles.

And these are some of the strangest animals spotted in airplane cabins, including a baby kangaroo and a miniature horse.
