Akon: My goal is to get everyone to go back to Africa
Akon says if all African Americans returned to Africa, the continent would be unstoppable.
“My goal is to get everyone to go back to Africa. That is my goal. I want to bring as many African Americans back to Africa as possible because the day they move back I know everything they are fighting for in America – they won’t have to fight there,” he said on REVOLT’s Deposit$ podcast.
He continued: “All the battle they fought [in America] … will they get there with that mindset, with that mentality, with the finances they’ve built, with the justice in life, and bring them back and invest in Africa? Man Africa could be the strongest nation in the world if y’all go home. Because we have everything it takes to be that. We have the resources, we have the land, we have the people. And together we have the power and the know-how. Why don’t we do this?”
