BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Today is a Warning Day as severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon.
Watch out for thunderstorms in the viewing area this afternoon (especially after 4 or 5 p.m.) that could bring gusts above 60 mph, hail and possibly even tornadoes.

Radar shows that the strongest and heaviest storms are likely to hit central Maryland between 4 and 6 p.m
A Dense Fog Notice will go into effect for Washington and most of Allegany County this morning.
Visibility is reduced to a quarter of a mile or less, so go slow in that area.
The rest of Maryland could see patchy fog across the morning commute.

Some evening outdoor activities may be disrupted. Once those storms manage to move eastward later tonight, there will be some clearing.
It will be cooler and more comfortable when the temperature drops above 50 years old.
