Alex Antetokounmpo, younger brother of Giannis and Thanasis, traded to Milwaukee Bucks’ G League affiliate

The Wisconsin Herd, the G-League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, acquired Alex Antetokounmpo via trade Monday, bringing the youngest Antetokounmpo brother into the same organization as brothers Giannis and Thanasis.

Alex Antetokounmpo appeared in 15 games for affiliate Toronto Raptors G League in 2021-22, averaging 2.6 points and 1.3 rebounds on 50% shooting in about 7 minutes per game.

He is yet to make his NBA debut but has formed a three-man team with Giannis and Thanasis for the 2022 NBA All-Star Skills Challenge in Cleveland.

Along with Alex Antetokounmpo, The Herd also acquired a second-round pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft in exchange for player rights to Jalen Lecque.

6-foot-8 Alex Antetokounmpo, who turns 21 next month, attended high school in Milwaukee and received two state awards before heading to Europe to play after high school. He spent a season playing internationally before not being drafted and moving to the G League in 2021.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been with the Bucks since the 2013-14 season and Thanasis joined the organization in 2019.
