The cult classic prom is now available to stream on Netflix and has tons of horror fans rewatching the slasher movie. There are even new viewers watching the film to see what it’s all about. It features a fantastic cast and an incredible soundtrack. In fact, you’ll probably recognize some of the songs played in the film.
prom Night is a restart of the prom Film series consisting of five films. The film hit theaters in April 2008 and grossed $57.2 million worldwide on a budget of $20 million. Directed by renowned film and television director Nelson McCormick from a script by JS Cardone. McCormick and Cardone later worked together on the psychological thriller The stepfather.
Based on the original film of the same name (1980), the horror film is about a high school grad named Donna Keppel who is trying to escape from her former biology teacher who has become a stalker and is determined to hunt her down on her prom night and murder everyone who stands in his way.
Pitch perfectBrittany Snow plays the protagonist Donna Keppel. The rest of the cast includes Scott Porter, Jessica Stroup, Dana Davis, Collins Pennie, Kelly Blatz, James Ransone, Idris Elba and many others.
