Alone in the Dark: Jodie Comer and David Harbor direct the 2023 video game remake
Jodie Comer and David Harbor have officially stepped into the world of gaming to headline the coming year Alone in the dark reissue.
It’s been almost a year since Austrian video game publisher THQ Nordic first announced its plan to reboot the classic survival game.
Well, months ahead of its October release, the first preview of the 2023 reimagining was unveiled on Thursday (May 25).
The teaser is set in the 1920s and begins with the scene of a dimly lit hallway in an abandoned house.
“Don’t say his name. he can hear you He always listens,” a whispered voice warns.
Then it’s on to Comer’s character, Emily Hartwood, and Harbour’s private eye, Edward Carnaby, as they approach the entrance of the derelict Derceto Mansion.
The remake of the 1992 original also allows players to take on the role of either Emily or Edward and investigate the former mental home in search of Emily’s missing uncle.
This will be the seventh main installment in the Alone in the Dark video game series and will mark both actors’ video game debuts.
“I love the mystery of the game and I love the picture of her,” he said kill Eve Star said about her character in the preview.
Speaking of his “gruff detective,” Harbor said, “He’s kind of a cliche or a guy and I like that.”
“And I like the world and the way he explores this madness in the midst of all this horror and stuff,” he said stranger things Added star. “I liked all these aspects.”

Several fans responded to the teaser on Twitter, and many were thrilled that Comer was “advancing into so many different categories.”
“Now she’s in the video game world. “This is a versatile queen,” commented one.
“So now I have to get into video games,” explained a second, and a third echoed, “Guess who’s going to be a gamer nowwww.”
“Take all my money I spend enough on games as it is but then add these two up and god I’ll empty my pockets,” joked another.
Someone replied, “They’re going to make me buy a PS5 just to play this game for Jodie and David.”
“I’m going to burst into flames,” wrote another.
Alone in the dark will be playable on October 25th on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
