Alyse Anderson keeps her mentality ahead of ONE 157

Alyse Anderson is looking forward to her next fight, a more mature boxer.

The American forward will enter the ring for the second time in her career when she faces Asha Roka at ONE 157: Petchmorakot vs. Vienot on May 20, broadcast live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Anderson admitted in an interview with ONE Championship that she was nervous during her first match. The nerve finally hit her and she was unable to carry out her game plan against Itsuki Hirata.

Starting off slow, Anderson didn’t catch on until the third inning when she scored Hirata’s kill.

Alyse Anderson says:

“I was so nervous. I was really hesitant in the first two innings. It even got to the point where I went into grappling when I should have been more confident in my shot because I was successful. [on the feet]. “

She added:

“As soon as I used my hit in the third round, you saw it come together more [with a knockdown]. So I think now that I’ve been through that and I’m learning for this next game, I’ll be more comfortable from the start and it won’t take me any time to get started. ”

Still carrying with her bitter memories of her loss, Anderson feels she is more capable now as a fighter and she wants to show that in her match against Roka.

Anderson said she’s gotten better mentally and the loss to Hirata has given her a stronger attitude going into her matches.

“Honestly, mostly don’t care what other people think too much and just listen to your body and listen to what you need. I think that really helped a lot because I just focused, on gangsta mode and didn’t let people put me out there with negative comments or a bad workout – just focus on what I can control. ”

Alyse Anderson intends to finish off Asha Roka

Alyse Anderson craves her first win in the ONE Championship and she intends to make it into the winners’ table in the most obvious way possible.

Roka, however, is not a promoter. The Indo-Nepalese boxer has a 100% completion rate in mixed martial arts, with all of her wins either by submission or knockout.

However, Anderson feels she is ready to finish Roka.

“I feel like I’m almost done on the ground. I don’t know which round, but it could be TKO from a grappling exchange or a submission. ”
