Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro joining ‘The View’ as talk show kicks off season 26

NEW YORK CITY– The 26th season of “The View” kicked off Tuesday on ABC with one of two new co-hosts joining the panel.

Alyssa Farah Griffin joined the table with Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Whoopi Goldberg, and Ana Navarro will also join the team.

Griffin has become a fixture at the table since leaving the Trump White House in late 2020, while Navarro has been a regular for nearly a decade.

Griffin was raised conservatively and served as President Donald Trump’s director of communications at the White House, but she resigned before he left office and later convicted him of instigating the attack on the US Capitol.

The premiere had no guests and was instead an hour of hot topics, but the upcoming season will have big guests from entertainment, politics and business.

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton performs with her daughter Chelsea on Wednesday.

The newest co-hosts follow the departure of Meghan McCain, whose fiery Republican defense helped boost the show’s ratings – and the newest staffers could do the same.

McCain quit last summer after four years on the show.

Behar said the diverse views on the panel reflect the realities of the audience.

“There’s an audience of people out there who don’t agree with me, and they should be represented, too,” she said.

The two new co-hosts join The View at a time when America remains sharply divided along political lines. This hit Griffin close to home when her own father refused to attend her wedding after criticizing her former boss, President Trump.
