But she was disappointed when the Roman-style gladiator fights didn’t make her heart beat faster.

No wonder, because she now revealed that shopping is what she enjoys the most.

She joked: “If they had taken me to a designer clothing store now, my heart rate would be faster.

“If you want to hit on me, it’s fashion and stuff like that, that’s enough!”

This comes after Amanda revealed how prudish Brits have become and highlighted the furore surrounding her TV wardrobe.

Her dresses on Britain’s Got Talent have sparked hundreds of complaints over the years.

She said: “There used to always be an amazing appreciation for the female form.

“I think the Victorians were to blame – in their eyes everything was more sexualized than it should be.

“It’s crazy that we’re still here considering the buzz around some of my outfits now.

“It is absolutely ridiculous that this is still going on at a time when we really believe we are ahead.

“But as I always say when we talk about Britain’s Got Talent, I’m 52 – if they still want to talk about my tits then bring it on!”

Amanda has just done the show with historian Dan Jones for the Sky History channel, where she looks at everything from empresses who loved orgies to warrior queens who used their bodies as weapons.

  • Sex: A Bonkers History airs on Sky History on September 25th.
