Amazon is holding its annual hardware event on September 28th

Amazon will be hosting a hardware event on September 28 at 12pm ET, the company announced today. The invitation the retailer sent to Engadget didn’t go into many details, only promising to share news about “our latest Amazon devices, features and services.” Incidentally, the event falls exactly one year on the date of your hardware showcase 2021.

Last year’s event was packed with offbeat products, with Astro, the company’s Alexa-powered wheeled robot, stealing the show. Other highlights included the Echo Show 15 and Glow, a conference call device aimed at kids. The company also announced other iterative updates in the form of the Halo View fitness band and Ring Alarm Pro. Amazon won’t be streaming the event, but you can expect full coverage from Engadget.
