American Dream Mall accident: 4 injured after decorative helicopter falls from ceiling into swimming pool in New Jersey

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Four people were injured in an accident at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey.

A large decorative helicopter plummeted from the ceiling into a pool below while people were in the water. It happened just after 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The mall says the injuries are minor, but one of the four people was taken to the hospital. The rest of the injured went on their own.

American Dream released a statement saying they will be conducting an investigation to “ensure the park meets all necessary safety regulations.”

According to police, the water park was evacuated after the incident.
