While judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli were seriously impressed, viewers at home rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One fumed: “Oh good another kids act…can’t wait [eye roll emoji].”

Someone else demanded, “No more bleeding children!”

Of the suggestion to exclude children’s performances from the competition, another wrote: “We need a children’s version of #bgt, I’m tired of these children’s performances.”

And a fourth snidely joked: “Didn’t know BGT did their own version of The Voice Kids.”

Elsewhere during the episode, Simon was ripped off by fellow judge Amanda about the time he had long, shoulder-length hair when he was 20.

Referring to the newest member of the jury, Amanda told him, “Bruno said today that your hair used to be shoulder length.”

Simon sounded amused and said, “I did.”

She replied: “I want to see that, I’ll google it.”

Suddenly wishing the matter had never been brought up, he insisted, “No, please don’t. No, no, no, no, not now.”
