Arango’s equalizer lifts LAFC into 1-1 draw with Seattle

SEATTLE (AP) — Christian Arango equalized for Los Angeles FC in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders.

Arango’s decisive goal came in the 79th minute for Western Conference leaders LAFC (9-3-3). On the run, he headed past Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei into the top left corner.

Albert Rusnak scored for the Sounders (6-6-2) in the 58th minute after intercepting a pass from LAFC goaltender Maxime Crepeau.

The Sounders overtook LAFC 12-9, with five shots to seven for LAFC.

Free saved six of the Sounders’ seven shots, including a remarkable double save in the 63rd minute. Crepeau made four saves for LAFC.
