It’s been a few years since Nick and Danielle officially tied the knot on the second season of Netflix’s hit reality dating show love is blind. In Season 2, the couple were among the only ones to marry and the only other contestants to make it down the aisle were Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones.

love is blind Season 2 also featured the devastating but memorable moment when Shayne Jansen said “yes” to Natalie Lee, but Natalie gunned him down at the altar. Luckily, Shayne will soon get another shot at love in the upcoming Netflix series Perfect match.

But how are things between Nick and Danielle?

Unfortunately, Nick and Danielle are no longer together. They got married at the end of June 2021 love is blind Season 2 but their marriage only lasted a little over a year before they divorced.

According to TMZ, Danielle officially filed for divorce in Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois in August 2022. It’s even more disheartening when you learn the couple had big plans to redo their wedding anniversary so Danielle could have a proper bachelorette party and they could do things in a more traditional way. In an interview with Us Weekly published just weeks earlier, the couple revealed they hope to have children soon.

Nick later told Us Weekly that there was no “catastrophic event” that led to their divorce, they just weren’t able to provide for each other’s needs.

“Over time, those things started to build … I don’t want to speak for them, but I know I didn’t feel like I was getting the partnership I needed to thrive and move forward with the relationship.”

The two appeared to attack each other on social media and are reportedly no longer on speaking terms.

But it’s not just Nick and Danielle who have split, the other season 2 couple Iyanna and Jarette also announced they were splitting in August 2022.
