Are you a narcissist? Simple test reveals your score

IT needs all kinds of personalities to make the world work.
You might be the loud one or the shy one in your group, but have you ever considered that you might be the narcissist?

According to the May Clinic in the US, people with narcissistic personality disorder have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance.
Narcissists tend to seek too much attention and want people to admire them, while often being unable to care about or understand the feelings of others.
And now a new test can reveal how narcissistic you are, and it’s widely used by psychologists to diagnose patients.
The test asks about your level of satisfaction, how responsible you are and whether or not you like looking at yourself in the mirror.
It will ask if you think you are “extraordinary” and if you think you have qualities that would make you a good leader.
Give a score at the end to assess how much more or less narcissistic you are than the average person, average reality TV star, and average US President.
The NHS states that personality disorders typically appear in adolescence and persist into adulthood.
The guidelines say: “They can be mild, moderate or severe, and people can have periods of ‘remission’ when they function well.
“Personality disorders can be associated with genetic and familial factors. Childhood experiences of stress or anxiety, such as neglect or abuse, are common.”
Take the test to see if you have narcissistic tendencies
In most cases, a narcissistic person will exaggerate their own accomplishments and abilities.
They may also think that they are entitled to be treated better than other people.
The NHS say they may also exploit other people for their own personal gain and may lack empathy for other people’s weaknesses.
dr David Hawkins, a clinical psychologist at Seattle’s Marriage Recovery Center, said it usually takes a long time for those with this trait to figure out what the problem is.
It can take a long time for a person to realize they are narcissistic because their behavior is deeply ingrained in their character.
People tend to use the word narcissist to describe someone who is selfish, vain, or “full of themselves.”
A true narcissist — someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder — is more than cocky and self-centered.
dr Hawkins said that a narcissist will dismiss your feelings or thoughts.
You can say you don’t believe them or that you shouldn’t feel or think that way, use gaslighting or verbal abuse.
Gaslighting is when someone creates a false narrative and causes the other party to question their judgments and reality.
A gaslight could tell you are overreacting to a situation, telling you something didn’t happen the way you remember it, or distracting you from the problem.
They might also find ways to hold you accountable for their actions and will cover you in silence if you do something they don’t like, Dr. Hawkins added.
If you’re concerned that you might be a narcissist, the research-based test might help you understand your feelings, but it’s not to be used for self-diagnosis.
There are other personality tests you can take to assess your behavior such as: B. whether you have psychopathic tendencies.
You can also use this simple test to find out how healthy you really are.
