GLENDALE, Ariz. — Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has tested positive for COVID-19 and is expected to miss at least five days if he doesn’t test negative sooner, coach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday.
Murray’s symptoms are “minor,” said Kingsbury, who had just written to Murray but hadn’t spoken to him since he tested positive. Murray felt “really poor” with cold-like symptoms before taking a test. Murray may return to the field earlier than five days if he tests negative, Kingsbury said.
Murray missed Saturday’s practice with a sore wrist and could miss five out of six practice sessions or more this week if he doesn’t return before then. Kingsbury said Murray was the only player to test positive at that training camp but that some players tested positive in the spring.
