Arizona’s School Choice Election – WSJ

One lesson learned from last year’s Virginia election and school board races across the country is that parents want a greater say in their children’s education. This is bad news for the Democrat Katie Hobbswho is running for governor in Arizona for promising to reverse the state’s recent expansion of school elections.

A decade ago, Arizona pioneered Education Savings Accounts, or ESAs, which allowed parents to spend state dollars on their child’s private tuition, tutoring, curriculum, and other educational needs.
