Arsenal aim to meet Alexis Mac Allister to meet Juventus to discuss 2023 transfer

Alexis Mac Allister’s representatives are reportedly set to meet Juventus next week to discuss a potential move in 2023, with Arsenal also keen on signing the Argentina international.

According to La Repubblica, the Bianconeri will sit down with the Brighton & Hove Albion superstar’s team to test whether the attacking midfielder wants to sign for Juventus, with Mac Allister one of the standout stars of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Seagulls forward started every game for Argentina in Qatar as the 24-year-old played a key role in the South American giants winning their third World Cup, with interest for Mac Allister now at an all-time high with Arsenal in the mix.

CBS sports reporter Ben Jacobs recently claimed that Mikel Arteta’s side are interested in Mac Allister, although a move for the Brighton star may have to wait until the summer as the Gunners are currently working on a deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk superstar Mykhaylo Mudryk to oblige.

Mac Allister’s shares, who have been described as ‘sublime’ by Graeme Souness, have risen significantly since the World Cup in Qatar and Juventus now appear determined to sign the Brighton star in 2023, with the Italian giants on one transformative year are set.

Indeed, it would feel like a blow to the Gunners if Arsenal miss Mac Allister considering how good the forward has been for Argentina in the Middle East this winter. However, given who Arteta is currently chasing, fans won’t be too disappointed if Juventus ultimately win the race for the 24-year-old.

Mac Allister’s career and reputation have soared since winning the World Cup earlier this month and while Juventus are no longer the European powerhouses they once were, a signing for the old lady would still be a huge step in the right direction for the Argentina international.

After all, Juventus is still one of the most popular and biggest clubs in the world and a move from Brighton to Turin would be quite a step forward for Mac Allister, who has shown this month he has the potential to play among the best footballers to offer.
