Arsenal continued their flawless start to the Premier League on Saturday as they clinched a 2-1 win over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium in London.
The result is the first time since Arsenal’s ‘Invincible’ 2004/05 season that the club have started the season with four straight league wins, giving Mikel Arteta’s side a two-point advantage at the top of the table.
Arsenal dominated the first half but it was striker Aleksandar Mitrovic who broke the deadlock as he continued his good form in front of goal and scored his 100th goal for Fulham. The 27-year-old snatched the ball from Arsenal defender Gabriel, who was dallying on the ball on the edge of his own 18-yard box, and slipped past goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. The goal marks Mitrovic’s fourth league goal of the season.

Arsenal were undeniable, however, as Martin Odegaard struck back minutes later when he picked up a pass from Bukayo Saka on the edge of the area and scored a shot on goal that was deflected past goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The hosts were pushing for a winner and were rewarded just five minutes from time when Gabriel threw himself and charged home after Leno failed to cope with a corner in swing.
Arsenal have now won four straight league games, having previously enjoyed comfortable victories over Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bournemouth.
