Ashanti Claims Producer Tried To Sleep w/ Her in Exchange For Tracks!!
In a recent interview, Ashanti spoke about the time she was proposed by a producer who wanted her to give up her body for payment instead of cash.
“I was in a crazy situation with a producer — I think I might have talked about it once. We made two records together. He said, ‘OK, I won’t burden you, you my homie.’ And then when it came time to put it on the album, he said, “Well, let’s take a shower together,” Ashanti said on The Breakfast Club.
She continued: “And I thought he was joking! And then he said, ‘No, I’m dead serious. Let’s shower together and I’ll give you the notes. If not, I need 40 racks per record.” And again I thought he was joking because, I don’t know, we worked together for a couple of weeks.”
Ashanti hasn’t released the name of the producer in question, but fans are guessing.
