Atlantic City Expressway crash kills pedestrian in Pleasantville, New Jersey

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ (WPVI) — A pedestrian was hit and killed on the Atlantic City Expressway Tuesday night.

It happened around 6 p.m. on the east lanes of the freeway near exit 5 in Pleasantville.

New Jersey State Police said the driver of the suspicious vehicle stayed at the scene.

Chopper 6 was above the scene when the limousine that struck the victim was towed away.

The vehicle’s windshield was smashed on the driver’s side.

It is not known why the pedestrian was in the middle of the freeway.

The victim’s identity was not released.
