It was the royal couple’s first journey on the £15 billion London train line, which was opened by the late Queen Elizabeth II just 12 months ago.

But when they took the newest train line, they ran into TikTok king Francis Bourgeois.

The social media star, who films his reactions as trains pass by, has amassed more than 2.9million followers.

And today he posted a very awkward clip showing him meeting the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The video begins with him strolling through Tottenham Court Road station before running to the next departing train.

Once he’s seated, it shows the signature camera angle of his face – captured by a camera attached to his head – before the royals stepping off the train bump into him.

Kate says goodbye to Francis, who then gets up awkwardly and shakes hands with her and Williams.

Francis then says, “Hello um, nice to meet you? Uhhm I hope you enjoy the Elizabeth Line”.

William replies, “Yes, it was good. Have a nice day.”

TikTok users rushed to the comments to offer their take on the awkward encounter.

One joked: “Will and Kate were so lucky to meet you!”

Another said, “Bro casually said to Elizabeth’s grandson ‘I hope you like the Elizabeth Line’.”

A third added: “THE DISRESPECT. You should have curtseyed to the king of trains.”

The royal couple had taken the train to Soho, where they toasted the coronation with a pint of cider.

They drank beers with punters at the Dog & Duck, one of the many pubs that anticipated a great bank holiday weekend when revelers celebrated the crowning glory.

Wills also helped the busy bar staff, who poured pints for the bettors thirsty after the Coronation weekend, while he poured a foamy glass of pint.

They also cheered the thousands waiting outside in central London by telling stories and posing for selfies with the crowd.

William, who will play a ceremonial role at the ceremony, admitted his nervousness as he greeted the pub players and said outside: “I’ll be drinking before and after the coronation!”

Ms Kate said she was looking forward to a strong showing at the bash, telling a fan: “I think I’ll celebrate with some Guinness.”
