AXED Paul Burrell has given his former I’m A Celeb co-stars a dig after leaving the jungle for the second time.
The royal butler was among the celebrity faces and former I’m A Celebrity contestants to return to star in the reality series’ all-star edition.
During Thursday’s episode, viewers watched Paul and TV presenter Carol Vorderman was sent home after giggling her way through her latest trial in a head-to-head battle with her co-stars.
After I left the show I said: Paul64, said: “I wanted to go out with a smile. I wanted to go out on a good note. And I did that because I went with Carol Vorderman.”
“We scaled that wall and it was innuendo bingo! Ant and Dec were beside themselves with anger. It was humor by the sea. That’s what this whole show was about: having fun, and we had fun.”
“At times it was a rollercoaster ride with, of course, ups and downs. But when we look back at the end of the day, we had fun and created unforgettable memories.”
Paul admitted the jungle was less fun the first time, sharing his camp in 2004 with Joe Pasquale, who won it that year, Janet Street-Porter, Vic Reeves and pop stars Natalie Appleton and Brian Harvey.
“I know it’s a cliché, roommates always say, ‘I found friends of a lifetime on this show.'”
“I didn’t do that the first time,” Paul said.
He added: “I didn’t do that. But this time it was completely different. We came together like a big family.”

Fans went into hysterics as Paul struggled screaming through his final trial.
Meanwhile, the bosses of I’m A Celeb prepare another big twist for their South African housemates when every single star of the series returns to camp for one final horror trial.
That means former I’m a Celeb rivals will go head-to-head in Kruger National Park to evaluate the experience and settle scores – and face a final test against Ant and Dec.
I’m a Celebrity…South Africa! To be continued on ITV1 and ITVX.
