Baby rushed to hospital after ‘disturbance’ at home as man arrested over ‘attack’ on police

A BABY was taken to hospital by rescue plane after an alleged incident at home.
Ambulance services were dispatched to an address in Auchterarder, Perthshire, following reports of a “disruption” on Sunday evening.
The three-month-old child, who was said to have sustained a head injury, was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by ambulance.
The severity of her condition remains unknown.
After the incident, which took place around 7 p.m. yesterday, a female officer stood guard at the door of the apartment block in the city.
A source said: “It’s just awful to think about and we all hope and pray she’s okay.”


Police officers, two ambulances and a rescue plane were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
Officials confirmed that a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and public disorder.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We were called at around 6pm on Sunday 3 September to a report of a riot at John Law Court, Aucheterader.
“Emergency services were at the scene and a baby was taken to the hospital as a precaution.”
“A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with assaulting a police officer and public order offences. A report has been sent to the prosecutor.”
“The man was due to appear in Perth Sheriff Court on Monday 4 September 2023.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 18:04 on Sunday 3 September to attend an incident at John Law Court, Auchterarder.
“Two ambulances and a rescue plane were at the scene and a patient was transported to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.”
