PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police have identified the suspect who is wanted over a shooting during a wedding reception at a house in the Kensington section in which a 10-month-old baby was wounded.

The baby was being held by her mother when one of the bullets hit her hand.

The girl was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she was placed in stable condition.

The baby’s mother was not injured.

According to police, a 17-year-old suffered a graze on his leg but did not require medical attention.

“The person was part of the congregation,” said Lt. Robert Brockenbrough of the Philadelphia Police Department on Sunday. “There was a lot of gun violence in Philadelphia, so you just have to be careful. It started as a friendly meeting and escalated to this one.”

Anyone with information on Diaz’s whereabouts is asked to call the Philadelphia Police Department at 215-686-TIPS.
